Eligibility Criteria of Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (HEC USAT 2023)

• The eligible students for this program include those who have cleared their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)
• Grade 12 education, those who have taken their final examination and are currently awaiting results,
• As well as those who have completed 12 years of education in any field.

HEC USAT Test Breakup/ Marks Distribution

PART 1

• Number of test items (75 MCQs)
• Time allowed 100 minutes
• Verbal reasoning: 35
• Quantitative reasoning: 40

PART II

• Time allowed 40 minutes
• Essay writing skills 400-500 words (either in English or Urdu): 25

Any score above and equal to 50 will be considered a qualifying USAT score. The maximum anyone can score on USAT would be the perfect score of 100.

The test is initially proposed on a quarterly basis in the major cities of Pakistan to be held simultaneously. More tests can however be arranged if the need existed. The yearly test calendar will be uploaded on the ETC website and candidates may register themselves through the online registration portal.

• The application submission process involves two steps: completing your profile using the “My Profile” section, and submitting your application by clicking on the “Undergraduate Studies Admission Test” links in the left-hand menu panel of the online portal.
• Only submitted applications will be considered for the USAT Test. Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be accepted.
• The fee for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) is PKR 1,750/- per candidate. The fee should be deposited in Habib Bank Limited Account no. 1742 7900 1334 01. The title of the account is Higher Education Commission.
• To submit the application, applicants must upload the paid and scanned challan form duly stamped by any HBL Branch while completing the application form at the ETC online registration portal.
• The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
