Eid ul Fitr is a festive occasion that brings happiness and joy to the Muslim community. People come together to celebrate and enjoy the festivities. However, the expenditures tend to increase during such occasions. This can become difficult for employees who work on a fixed salary to manage their expenses, especially when such events fall towards the end of the month.

This year, Eid-ul-Fitr is scheduled to fall on the 21st or 22nd of April 2023. As per the general rule, if Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid-ul-Azha falls between 20 to the end of the month, the government pays the salary and pension in advance. In light of this, the government of Sindh has announced that advance salaries will be paid to the employees.

The Muslim employees will receive full pay and allowances, while the pensioners will receive their full pension. Instead of May 2nd, 2023, the salary/pension for the month of April 2023 will be paid in advance to Muslim employees. This is a positive step taken by the government of Sindh as it will enable Muslim employees to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr without worrying about their financial obligations.
