Today Petrol Subsidy for Motorcycle, Cars, and Rakshaw in Pakistan 2023 was announced on 19th March.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made an announcement that a relief package would be implemented to provide a petroleum subsidy of Rs50 per litre to low-income individuals who own small vehicles such as motorcycles, rickshaws, and 800cc cars.

During a review meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of implementing the program quickly and creating a comprehensive strategy in collaboration with relevant departments to ensure its effectiveness.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that low-income individuals primarily use small vehicles, and the subsidy would offer much-needed relief to them. Despite the challenging economic conditions, the government is committed to assisting the poor, he added.

The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Advisor to PM Ahad Cheema, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary of Finance, Secretary of Petroleum, and others. Musadik Malik, Minister of State for Petroleum, provided a briefing on the strategy for providing the subsidy.
