ECP Election results 2022

The make-or-break by-elections on 20 Punjab Zimni Election 17 July 2022 constituencies for PML-N and PTI will be held on July 17 after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) de-seated 25 PTI MPAs for voting in favor of Hamza Shahbaz during chief minister Punjab’s election.

The ECP has already notified five PTI MPAs on the reserved seats following directives from the Lahore High Court.

Here is the list of the constituencies and candidates of the PTI and PML-N for the Zimni Election on 17 July 2022 contesting in them.

PP-158 (Lahore)  

Mian Akram Usman of the PTI is contesting Rana Ahsan Sharafat of the PML-N in the constituency. Mian Akram Usman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 37,463 votes, defeating Rana Ahsan Sharafat of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 31,906 votes.

PP-167 (Lahore)

Chaudhry Shabbir Gujar of the PTI vs Nazir Chohan of the PML-N. Shabbir Ahmed Gujjar of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won with 40,206 votes, followed by Nazir Ahmed Chohan of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 26,535 votes.

PP-168 (Lahore)

Malik Nawaz Awan of the PTI is battling against Malik Asad Khokhar of the PML-N. Malik Asad Khokhar, a candidate for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), won the election with 26,174 votes, while Nawaz Awan, a candidate for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), received 15,719 votes.

PP-170 (Lahore)

PTI’s Zaheer Abbas Khokhar is vying against PML-N’s Chaudhry Amin Gujjar. Malik Zaheer Abbas of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 23,969 votes, defeating Muhammad Amin Zulqarnain of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 14,916 votes.

PP-125 (Jhang)

Mian Muhammad Azam of the PTI vs Faisal Hayat of the PML-N. Mian Azam Chela of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won with 82,382 votes, while Faisyal Hayat Jabboana of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) received 52,178 votes.

PP-127 (Jhang)

Mahar Nawaz Bharwana of the PTI is contesting against Mahar Aslam Bharwana of the PML-N. Mehar Nawaz Bharwana of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 69,986 votes, defeating Mehar Aslam Bharwana of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 46,825 votes.

PP-07 (Rawalpindi)

Colonel (retd) Muhammad Shabbir Awan of the PTI is vying against Raja Sagheer Ahmed of the PML-N. Raja Sagheer Ahmad of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won with 68,906 votes, while Col. M. Shabbir Awan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received 68,857 votes to finish in second place.

PP-83 (Khushab)              

Malik Hassan Aslam Awan of the PTI vs Ameer Haider of the PML-N. Hassan Aslam Malik of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 48,475 votes versus Independent Asif Malik Bha’s 41,752 votes.

PP-140 (Sheikhupura)

Khurram Shahzad Advocate of the PTI is running for the MPA seat against PML-N’s Khalid Arain. Khurram Shahzad Virk of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won with 49,734 votes, while Mian Khalid Mehmood of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) received 6,546 votes.

PP-224 (Lodhran)

Amir Iqbal Shah of the PTI is vying against Zawar Hussain Waraich of the PML-N. Amir Iqbal Shah of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 69,625 votes, defeating Zawar Hussain Warraich of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 55,748 votes.

PP-288 (Dera Ghazi Khan)

Sardar Saifuddin Khosa of the PTI vs Abdul Qadir Khan Khosa of the PML-N. Izzat Javaid of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who received 34,635 votes, came in second behind independent candidate Rafi Ud Din Bukhari with 42,719 votes.

PP-217 (Multan)

The son of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Zain Qureshi of the PTI, is contesting against Salman Naeem of the PML-N. Makhdoom Zain Qureshi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 46,427 votes, defeating Muhammad Salman Naeem of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received just 40,285.

PP-97 (Chak Jhumra)    

PTI’s Ali Afzal Sahi vs Ajmal Cheema of the PML-N. Ali Afzal Sahi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 66,672 votes, defeating Muhammad Ajmal Cheema of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 54,077 votes.

PP-202 (Sahiwal)

Major (retd) Ghulam Sarwar of the PTI is contesting against Nauman Langrial of the PML-N. Ghulam Sarwar of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won with 61,989 votes, followed by Malik Nauman Langrial of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 59,167 votes.

PP-90 (Bhakkar)

Irafn Ullah Khan Nizai of the PTI vs Saeed Akbar Nawani of the PML-N. Irfan Ullah Niazi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won with 68,982 votes. Saeed Akbar Nawani of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came in second with 59,856 votes.

PP-237 (Bahawalnagar)

Syed Aftab Raza of the PTI vs Mian Fida Hussain of the PML-N. Fida Hussain Wattoo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won the election with 61,248 votes, defeating Syed Aftab Raza of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who received 25,227 votes.

PTI’s Qaiser Abbas vs PML-N’s Muhammad Tahir Randhawa. Qasier Abbas Magsi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election with 43,922 votes, defeating Muhammad Tahir Randhawa of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 29,715 votes.

PP-288 Dera Ghazi Khan

Saifuddin Khosa of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the election by garnering 56,857 votes, defeating Abdul Qadir Khosa of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who received 33,254 votes.

PP-273 Muzaffargarh

Muhammad Sibtain Raza of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won with 52,631, while Yasir Arfat Jatoi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could only manage 46,903.
