UCP Grading Policy List 2023

UCP Grading Policy List: For undergraduate students, it’s necessary to maintain a CGPA of at least 2.00/4.00 to continue their studies successfully at UCP. For Master’s students, a minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 is required to continue with the program satisfactorily. As for Ph.D. scholars, they are required to maintain a CGPA of 3.00/4.00 throughout their academic career to continue in the program.

When a student is studying at UCP, their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated by multiplying the number of credit hours for each course by the assigned grade points and then adding up these products for all courses. This sum is then divided by the total number of credit hours that the student has enrolled in. It’s important to note that grades ‘I’ and ‘W’ are not considered in the calculation of GPA/CGPA.

If an undergraduate or graduate student fails to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 2.5, respectively, they will be given a warning status when the semester results are declared. If a student receives two consecutive warnings, they will be placed on probation for the next semester. If at the end of that semester, they still fail to achieve the required minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 2.5, as appropriate, they will be removed from the University Roll.

To avoid such a situation, all undergraduate and graduate students of UCP are strongly advised to maintain a CGPA above the minimum required level throughout their course of studies.
