Last time it was held in 2015. After about 11 years now Punjab government has decided to organize Horse and Cattle show Lahore 2022 again. Horse and Cattle Show 2022 will start from 10th March and it will continue till 12th March, 2022. Entry is free for all the members of family.

Punjab government has made all the arrangements for this mega event. Students of different educational institutes will perform on taboos and national songs. Cricket, Hockey, Kabaddi, football, wrestling and athletics competitions will also be held. Horse and camel dances and beauty competition of animals is also a famous feature of this event as Horse and Cattle Show was originally started to encourage cattle breeders.
This biggest cultural event was discontinued due to some serious security threats. But this year fool proof security arrangements have been made to avoid any mishappening. Tattoo shows, tent-pegging, horse dancing, dog races, polo, equestrian jumping, exhibition of agricultural and modern industrial products last but least milk-producing competition among cattle breeders are some other salient features of this event.
Different public and private sector organizations will participate in the show. A human flag, motorcycle stunts and performances by different folk music bands and dance groups are some notable events during the show. So if you want to enjoy the arrival of Spring season then do participate in these colorful events.
President Dr Arif Alvi along with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the National Horse and Cattle show Lahore 2022 and Cattle Show here at Fortress Stadium on Thursday.
The three-day mega show, which resumed after a gap of six years, has brought a series of events and a variety of segments reflecting the culture of all the provinces and other colourful recreational activities for the public.
“It is really wonderful and pleasant to see various colourful activities here. The government must hold such events annually on a regular basis,” Taimur, a visitor, said while talking to Dawn.
The show, organised by the Punjab government’s Local Government & Community Development Department, in collaboration with various public and private sector organisations and the army, started after President Alvi entered the venue along with CM Buzdar in a horse-driven carriage (Bagghi).
