Is there is a Bank Holiday on 4th April 2022? State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) would remain closed for public dealing on Monday April 4, 2022 for deduction of Zakat, it announced on Monday.
The central bank also directed all banks/DFIs/MFBs to remain closed for public dealing on the afore-mentioned date. However, all employees would attend the offices on the day, treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing), SBP said.

All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on 4 April 2022. However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
All Major Banks like HBL NBP MCB UBL ABL BOP and all small Banks will also remain closed to the public on 4 April 2022.
Therefore all citizens of Pakistan are requested to finish their bank activities before the bank holiday as many people will not aware and they will visit the banks on Monday and will feel disturbed when Bank will be closed for them.

4 April 2022 will mark the 42nd death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the Pakistan People’s Party and ninth Prime Minister of Pakistan.
On 5 July 1977, General Zia-ul-Haq deposed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in a military coup. On 3 September, Bhutto was arrested on the charges of the murder of his political rival, Nawab Muhammad Ahmad Khan Kasuri.
