(27th March) Islamabad Traffic Police Traffic Plan shared on their twitter account is available on this page.The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a detailed traffic plan update for the JUI-F, PDM and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Long March and Jalsa from March 25 to March 27, 2022 at the parade ground and Itwar Bazar. The traffic plan was shared by the Islamabad Police on Twitter to make sure people can avoid traffic jams and plan their travel accordingly.

According to the Islamabad traffic plan update, the Red Zone will be closed for all types of traffic from March 25 to March 28, while all the ways leading to the Red Zone, including D-Chowk, Serena Chowk, NADRA Chowk, Express Chowk, and Ayub Chowk will remain closed for traffic and people are advised to use alternative routes for their travels.

The (27th March) Islamabad Traffic Police Traffic Plan have advised commuters to use Margallah Hills as an entry and exit point from the Red Zone as traffic was barred from entering the area, while traffic would not be allowed to enter from Kashmir Chowk Roundabout to Rawal Dam Chowk as well.

Furthermore, Murree Road will also remained closed from both sides, including Rawal Dam Chowk to Faizabad Flyover and people are advised to use alternative routes for commuting.

Alternate Routes

According to the Islamabad traffic plan, the incoming traffic from Lahore for Islamabad Traffic Police Traffic Plan will move towards Rawat T Cross to Saddar Road and then to GT Road and Motorway.

The commuters can also travel to Murree from Old Airport, Murree Road, Sector G and Kashmir Chowk, while those going to Airport and Rawat should use Ninth Avenue and Express Way.

It is pertinent to mention that local administration has issued NOCs to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami Fazl (JUI-F) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for holding their Long March and Jalsa on different venues in Islamabad from March 25 to March 27, 2022 for Islamabad Traffic Police Traffic Plan.

As per the traffic plan, the Red Zone area will remain closed for general public from March 25 to March 28.

The Islamabad traffic police advised citizens to use only Margalla Road for entry and exit from the Red Zone.
