The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Elementary & Secondary Education Department issued a Notification on 22-12-2022 in connection with Waiving Off Winter Vacation 2022 23 in KPK. As per the Notification, the education department KP canceled the winter holidays in warm areas only.

KPK Winter Vacation 2022 – 2023 Notification
In the aftermath of the CORONA Pandemic 2019, the working days for Academic Session 2022-23 are not sufficient to complete the coursework in the schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. It has, therefore, been decided to waive off winter vocations in the summer zone of the province till any unusual change in the weather condition. Likewise, winter vocations in the winter zone have also been reduced and schools in the winter zone shall remain closed from 25-12-2023 to 01-01-2023.

SUMMER ZONE IN KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA
- Winter Vacation 25th December 2022 to 1. January 2023.
WINTER ZONE IN KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA
- Winter Vacation 25th December 2022 to 15th February 2023.
Hence after this notification, all schools in KP will remain closed from 25th December 2022. Summer zone schools will reopen on 2nd January 2023. Winter zone schools will reopen on 16th February 2023.

- The decision has been taken in the best interest of the students and to overcome the huge gap of working days in schools.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education department only canceled the KPK Winter Vacation 2022 23 Notification in warm areas of the province. The winter holidays in cold areas will remain intact but in reduced form. The schools will observe winter holidays in cold areas only for one and a half months.
