NEWS About KPK Advance Salary Notification 2023: The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has expressed regret for providing advance salaries to government employees during the joyous occasion of Eid.
In a detailed letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the department highlighted the financial challenges that the provincial government has been grappling with for the past year.
According to the note, the province’s account currently holds only Rs. 13 billion, while the total expenses for salaries amount to Rs. 45 billion. However, there is a hopeful projection of receiving Rs. 20 to 25 billion from the federal government in April.
The official document also stated that due to the current financial constraints, the finance department is unable to disburse salaries and pensions in advance. Instead, salaries will be paid on the first working day of the following month.
The note further revealed that the government has allocated Rs. 20 billion for flour, over Rs. 3 billion for essential services in hospitals, Rs. 4 billion for health cards, Rs. 1 billion for law and order, and Rs. 1.3 billion for free textbooks.
