The Sindh Police recently launched the “Talash” app in Hyderabad, in an effort to curb the rising crime rate in the city. At the city’s entry and exit points, police officers are now using the app to screen passengers.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Aleena Rajpar, stated that the app has the capability to store information on over 1.5 million criminals throughout the province. This allows police to quickly verify wanted criminals using their fingerprint data.
An app is a valuable tool, as the “Talash” app provides quick access to criminal records with just one tap, eliminating the need for time-consuming information gathering processes.
