Why is it easier to swim in a sea than a river ?

  1. Seawater is still while river water is running
  2. The salinity of seawater is more than that of river water
  3. The density of seawater is more than that of river
  4. Both A&B
  5. None

  • Due to the high salt in the sea water, the density of the sea water is higher as compared to river water. So as the density increases the buoyant force also increases.
  • It is easier to swim in sea water than in river water because we observe more buoyant force in sea water due to its hardness than in river water.
